Science Week

Last week was Science Week. We were very lucky as a scientist came in to show us some amazing experiments!

Our Halloween Walk

We dressed up in school to go on our Halloween walk. This walk helped us raise a lot of money for the school. We had great fun. Can you guess who we are???

We did lots of fun Hallowe'en art this week. We painted our clay pumpkins, and we made stuffed ghosts using cotton wool!!!

Pumpkins

We used clay to make pumpkins today. We are going to leave them to dry over the weekend and next week we will paint them. We had great fun rolling the clay into the shape of a pumpkin!

Sorting

We are doing lots of sorting this week. Today, we were sorting different things by colour! We worked together in groups.

Snowdrops

Today, we looked at snowdrops. Aren't they beautiful?

 We got some snowdrop bulbs, pots and soil. Then, we planted our very own snowdrops!

We are really excited to look after our snowdrops and to watch them grow!

Come on Galway!

We wore our county colours today to show our support for the Galway hurlers. We all shouted "Up Galway!" and we hope the hurlers can beat Kilkenny in Croke Park on Sunday.

Maroon and White Day

Tomorrow we are having a 'maroon and white' themed day in our school to show our support for the Galway hurlers playing this weekend. We are looking forward to seeing a sea of maroon and white across Scoil Chaitriona Junior! Gaillimh abu!!!

P.E.!!!

We are having a lot of fun at P.E. in the halla. This week we are practising running and jumping!
